ILS World is thrilled to be celebrating 15 years of providing professional services to advisers, international corporate groups and private clients in Hong Kong, an established international hub for trade and investment.
Group chief executive, Chris Eaton said: "We are very proud to have reached this important milestone and to see how well the office has flourished over the years to its current size and scope.
"In 2006 we were looking to further expand our global footprint and as we were advising a number of clients in the Far East it made sense to investigate. We put an advert in the South China Morning Post and used the responses as a starting point. We met clients, advisers and banks and found a sophisticated jurisdiction for the financial services sector. It had mature systems in place, a very well-educated work force in terms of corporate and cross border trading and there was an astute understanding of international clients, so overall it was a good fit for us."
Chris added: "Our managing director in Hong Kong Lilian Cheung has been with us for more than 10 years and has led the growth and development of the office. The team has added services including client accounting, visa advisory and pensions and there has been a strong commitment to creating long-term relationships and providing high service levels."
Lilian said: "Our ongoing success wouldn't be possible without our clients. During this anniversary year the Hong Kong team wants to thank them for continuing to believe in us and for helping us thrive. We are only able to celebrate this milestone because of them.
"I am also very grateful for the loyalty of our staff and have been happy to see their professional growth with some obtaining additional qualifications in compliance, accountancy and others becoming trust and estate practitioners. We were proud to have achieved a HSBC business award in 2015 for caring for people."
Since ILS World was formed in 1991 it has grown and developed into a global provider of independent fiduciary services with offices also in the British Virgin Islands, Isle of Man and Portugal managing more than 5000 structures with assets in excess of $250 billion. This latest landmark comes in the same year as the ILS World group celebrates its 30th anniversary and comes in the wake of our London and BVI office operating for 25 years and our Portugal office for 20 years.
